Ears? How do the ears work in Bunny Kill? I've always thought you just animated it along with the rest of the head.

Nah, it's actually far, far easier to animate the ear physics afterwards. This allows me to focus more on the actual animation while i'm still working on it and not waste time moving the ears untill after the it's is done.

Can't wait :p

Good luck Mottis and take as much time as you need

do you have an exact release date? try to make your best!

No, not at this time. I hate release dates. They always make me try too hard and thus, get extremely unmotivated.

en oo varma mikä on vikana, mut NG ei lataa bunnykillia. joutuu kattomaan youtubesta..

upeeta jälkee. en ihan tarkalleen muista oliko dust ja smoke nelosessa, mut ovatpahan takas sarjassa. toista osaa odotellessa.

Kiitos kiitos. Ja Newgrounds uploadaa oman version tästä youtubeen myöhemmin, 1080p ja täys framerate. Toi versio minkä just löysin youtubesta tökki aika paljon.

Good luck with it. Do you think snowball or dust would have a crush on ruby? Ur from finland? I'm from Estonia you ever heard of it? Language is almost the same, Time is almost the same. You should have made smoke the guy who was kidnapped by dust and professor sludge.

Yeah I'm from Finland, and yeah, I know Estonia. It's actually the only country i've ever been in outside Finland. (it was a school trip)

I wanted to make Dust the good guy for a change for various reasons. For example I simply like him more as a character. He also offers a lot more to the choreography with his gunsword, than what Smoke would have offered with his Gun. (Since we'll be seeing a lot more Dust in part2)

That's great to hear. I really admire your work ethic with these projects. Its like you love what you do and are good at doing it. Also, great job on Bunnykill 5.1. Impressive as always. ^-^

I've also been taking notes on your conversations with Toast for I seem to be experiencing similar difficulties with our group's projects. Although I don't believe I can compare as well since we happen to be using Cs5. I'm still surprised at the sheer quality of your videos and drawings from just using MX. Do you draw on the computer or use a tablet?

I draw with the mouse. I've been thinking about getting a tablet, but not for drawing. I was thinking that animating might be easier with it, but I dunno...

I agree with Bloodraven432's idea for a story.

You could try it out, but I'd say if your comfort zone is with the mouse, then by all means pass on the tablet. ^-^

Well, my friend and I use a tablet and so far things have been ok on our part. To be honest I'm also not sure how a tablet effects the animating process. I find it kind of the same since I prefer the mouse and my friend the tablet. Drawing with a tablet on Flash seems a bit difficult for us so right now we are using a separate program, Paint.net for the drawings for now. We're finishing up character and enemy designs now.

Also, something that's been bugging me, does the canvas size matter in terms of submitting a flash movie? I usually keep it it at around 600 by 400 so if it doesn't then thats a relief for me. What's your preference?

OK cool.
I don't think the canvas size matters, as long as it's not TOO big. I used 650x450 for Bk5.

Sorry to disturb you i like your film...... can u make me to be one of a bunny kill ?

Excuse me, what? xD

Man, so this one is gonna be a Bunnykill without Snowball as the primary character! Sweet!

Yup, pretty much.

I never thought that your animations would require that much precision. Do you move their body parts frame by frame?

Yeah I do. Sometimes when I click an object and want to rotate it, I misclick by 2 pixels and end up clicking the background instead. Then I have to click the object again and try rotating/moving it again. It only takes a second and happens very rarely but it adds up and is aggrivating sometimes.

No, I am sure the BK5p2 will be call Metal Gear Snowball: Rising!

So tell me, what's it like having a series that can rival Madness in bloodshed? Also, I think what Mokona is trying to ask is that if you could put him/her into the next Bunny Kill

Well, part of me always feels bad because of how similar my style is to Madness. Sometimes I wish I would have gone with a more original style. I feel like I should have the "inspired by madness" on each movie, but when I can't find a proper spot for it, I feel guilty. But I've talked to Krinkels on many occasions and he's an awesome guy, so I'm sure he understands.

And yeah, I think I got that part of Mokona's post, but it still doesn't make much sense to me :p

Could it be that your objects are set as bitmap graphics? If they're vector based, I couldn't imagine having difficulties with movement and rotation.

No, they are drawn in flash. I never said i had difficulty rotating them. It's just that every once in a while when i try to rotate an ear for example, I click the ear, and then i try to position my mouse to the specific spot that allows me to rotate the said object (i have free transform on when i animate) and sometimes i misclick by one pixel and accidently either drag part of the background, or accidentally resize the ear instead of rotating it. Then I have to ctrl+z, click the object again and so on. It's a very very very very minor thing and I'm 100% used to it already, but I thought that a tablet would give me that little boost in pointer accuracy that would make animating a lot more fun.

Oh, I see. Well that's not too bad. Personally, I don't see a difference when using a tablet but it could work better for you; who knows? Either way it should still be very easy for you since your bunnies don't have limbs. Do you make enough money with your movies to afford one?

I could afford one right now easily. I was looking at some cheap ones at the store not too long ago, and I was surprised at how cheap they were. But, I dunno. I have no plans to buy one at this time.

Does any of your characters are related to the Auditor from Madness Combat?

Umm... not really...

If you want to have a sort of connection to Madness, why not make an opening scene or credit with Snowball walks out, a character from madness walks out, they high five and then kill each other and then say 'Inspired by Madness'

Hmm maybe. Kinda late for bk5 though. But we'll see when it comes to the later Bk projects.

I don't think it's fair for you to think you're copying Madness. Are they similar? Sure, but that just means they have their own genre: side-scrolling beat 'em up animations. Castle Crashers is in the same genre, albeit in video-game format. The idea of a guy blasting through enemies quickly isn't exactly an original one. I think people just compare you to Madness a lot because Madness was one of the first to come to Flash and you're the only one to rival it, like another poster said.

All in all, you're part of the same genre, but you both do something different enough to where you have your own style. I don't think you or anyone should compare the two or say one is copying the other.

But I personally like BK better. Your animation is smoother, your drawings are more detailed and artistic, and your choreography is much more interesting. And who doesn't love bunnies? I've envied you for a long time, Mottis. Bunny Kill is such a unique idea and I hope to see you expand on it a little more in the future. Why not have BK6 take place underwater at times? Why not expand upon a female protagonist and put Snowball in a supporting role? There's so much you can do, so don't be afraid to branch out. And please--don't compare yourself to Madness.
